Dylan DeLucia Wins Regular Season Strikeout Crown

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida State right-hander Dylan DeLucia is the NJCAA regular season strikeout king for 2021 after posting 107 punchouts in 14 appearance.

DeLucia averaged 13 strikeouts per outing and fanned at least 10 batters five times. In his 74 innings pitched, the Port Orange, Fla., native struck out 1.5 batters per inning.

Against Gulf Coast on April 1, DeLucia struck out a career-high 14 hitters en route to the complete-game victory. He tossed a shutout against Chipola on April 18 sitting down 12 batters.

Over his final three outings of the season, DeLucia struck out 34 batters in 20.2 innings of work.

For his career, DeLucia has recorded 151 strikeouts in 114 innings.

DeLucia and the Raiders take on Santa Fe in the Gulf District/FCSAA State Baseball Tournament on Wednesday at 12 p.m. (CT).
