Raider Baseball Lands 8 on All-Panhandle Conference Teams

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Eight Northwest Florida State baseball players earned All-Panhandle Conference honors, the league announced Monday.

 

Reagan Burford, Trace Willhoite, Austin Kelly, Carlos Guzman, and Dylan DeLucia earned first team accolades, while Tyler Kehoe, Caleb Reis, and Dylan Ross landed on the second team.

 

Burford batted .345 with seven home runs and 37 RBI. He finished 22nd in the state with a .572 slugging percentage and tied for the team lead with 50 hits.

 

Willhoite turned in a .297 average with four home runs, 24 runs batted in and a team-best three triples. The third baseman scored 38 runs on the season and clubbed 13 doubles, both team highs.

 

Kelly posted a team-high .391 average, the fourth-best average in the FCSAA, and reached base at a .481 clip. His eight home runs were the most on the team and his 18 strikeouts were among the fewest of any player in the nation.

 

Guzman batted .295 with five doubles and four home runs. Guzman turned in a .379 on-base percentage and a .457 slugging percentage.

 

DeLucia led the nation through the regular season with 107 strikeouts in 74 innings of work. The right-hander posted an 8-1 record with a 2.19 earned run average.

 

Kehoe hit .281 with five doubles, three home runs and two triples. He scored 24 runs and stole 15 bases in the season.

 

Reis went 5-3 with two saves on the mound with a 2.48 ERA. He fanned 70 batters in 58 innings on the bump. Reis fanned 10.86 hitters every nine innings while allowing just 16 earned runs during the regular season.

 

Ross was 6-2 with a 3.88 ERA for the Raiders. He struck out 77 batters in 60.1 innings. The right-hander surrendered just 26 earned runs in 12 appearances.
