NWF Baseball Blasts Three Homers in Win over Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Nasir Frederick, Carlos Guzman, and Tyler Kehoe all homered as Northwest Florida State defeated Tallahassee, 7-1, on Friday in Panhandle Conference play.

The Raiders (26-12, 12-6 PC) led 2-1 entering the ninth inning where they got a five-run outburst to pull away.

Guzman led off the frame with a solo shot to left field then Austin Turner drove home a run two batters later. With two outs, Kehoe launched a 1-0 pitched over the wall in right to give NWF the six-run cushion.

Frederick gave the Raiders an early 2-0 lead with a two-run shot in the third inning. 

Dylan Ross pitched 7.2 innings to earn the win. The right-hander struck out 15 batters and allowed just one run on seven hits. Caleb Reis closed out the game recording the final four outs.

Northwest Florida returns to action on Sunday when the team hosts Tallahassee at 1 p.m.
