Kelly, DeLucia Earn FCSAA Honors

NICEVILLE, Fla. – It was a good week for Northwest Florida batterymates Austin Kelly and Dylan DeLucia as they were named FCSAA/Region VIII Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.

Kelly batted .636 (7-for-11) with six runs scored, two double, one home run, four RBI and three stolen bases in four games behind the dish for the Raiders. He hit safely and scored in each of the four games, including three multi-hit games.

The Leland, Miss., native was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, a home run, and two RBI against Pensacola. He also landed a walk-hit hit in Northwest Florida's win over Chipola.

On the season, Kelly is batting .388 with eight home runs and 25 RBI.

DeLucia posted a 3-0 record with a 0.59 ERA in three appearances last week. The right-handers allowed just one run in 5.1 innings in NWF's win over Pensacola and pitched a six-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts against Chipola. 

The Port Orange, Fla., native totaled 15.1 innings over the week and allowed just one walk and posted 21 strikeouts. 

On the season, DeLucia is 7-1 with a 2.31 ERA and 85 punchouts in 62.1 innings of work.
