Raiders Split Road Games at Gordon State

BARNESVILLE, Ga. – Northwest Florida State baseball split a pair of games at Gordon State falling, 10-1, on Thursday before rebounding to win, 14-4, on Friday.

Gordon State 10, Northwest Florida 1 (Thursday)

Northwest Florida (14-6) got a run in the first inning, but that was all the offense the Raiders could muster as Gordon State took the game, 10-1.

Four errors cost NWF in the loss particularly in the Gordon State's five-run first inning.

Austin Turner was 2-for-3 at the plate. Austin Kelly finished 2-for-4.

Northwest Florida 14, Gordon State 4 (Friday)

The Raiders exploded for 17 hits in a 14-4 rout on Friday.

Trace Willhoite had quite the day finishing the day 4-for-5 with three doubles, three RBIs, and three runs scored.

Tyler Kehoe went 3-for-3 with four runs batted in, while Seth Williams was 3-for-5 with a double and a pair of runs scored.

Austin Turner and Reagan Burford added two hits each for the Raiders. The team's 14 runs and 17 hits are both season highs.

Northwest Florida returns to action on March 9 against Pensacola on the road.
