Raiders Close Homestand with Win

NICEVILLE, Fla. – No. 4 Northwest Florida baseball closed its six-game homestand unbeaten after a 13-1 victory over Macomb Monday at the Raider Baseball Complex.

Justice Thompson was 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and two RBIs. Leyton Pinckney finished with a pair of hits and RBIs, while Mac Danford drove in three runs highlighted by a two-run home run.

The Raiders (14-3) exploded for six runs in the seventh inning and four pitchers combined to allow just one run on four hits in the seven-inning contest.

Thomas Wilhite got the start and struck out four in two innings of work. Jackson Boyd struck out the side to close out the game.

Northwest Florida looks to extend its six-game winnings streak as the team hits the road to face Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday.
