Raiders cap off 4-0 weekend at Capital City Classic

10-0 W vs. Miami-Dade

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity defeated Miami Dade 10-0 on Saturday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Aljo Sujak induced a double-play from Kameron Wells to finish off the game.

Jake Randa collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity to victory. Randa doubled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and homered in the sixth.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity's offense in the inning came from doubles by Mikey Madej and Randa and a single by 

Will Moriarty.One bright spot for Miami Dade was a single by Bryan Sanjuro in the second inning.

Conor Angel was on the hill for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over four innings, striking out one and walking one.

Jesus Valoy-Sanchez was on the pitcher's mound for Miami Dade. He surrendered six runs on eight hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Danny Vazquez threw three and a third innings out of the bullpen.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity launched one home run on the day. Randa had a dinger in the sixth inning.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity was victorious over Miami Dade, 6-2

Miami Dade opened up scoring in the first inning, when Bryan Sanjuro singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

In the top of the second inning, Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity tied things up at one when Kyle Fitzgerald's sac fly scored one run for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Jake Randa doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity notched three runs in the sixth inning. Justice Thompson had an RBI double in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Will Moriarty got the start for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out four.

Blake Baker toed the rubber for Miami Dade. He surrendered three runs on six hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one. Danny Vazquez and Joseph Sanchez entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity defeated Florence Darlington 10-6 on Friday thanks in part to Brock Franks, who drove in four runners. Franks drove in runs on a grand slam in the first.

Florence Darlington scored six runs in the fifth inning, but Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. Hunter Baker, Grant Bodison, and Cameron Dean powered the big inning with RBIs.

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity got on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity.

Jacob Kelchner got the start for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out five.

Will Abbott led things off on the pitcher's mound for Florence Darlington. He lasted three innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs while striking out five and walking one. Daniel Rutherford and Jay McKenzie entered the game as relief, throwing three and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

5-3 W vs. Florence-Darlington

Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity snagged a late lead and defeated St. Johns River 5-3 on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity batting in the top of the tenth when Mikey Madej tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

In the second inning, Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity got their offense started. Justice Lucas drove in one when he singled.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, St. Johns River tied things up at three when Michael Rosario hit a solo homer.

Thomas Farr toed the rubber for Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity. He allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Anothonly Simonelli led things off on the hill for St. Johns River. He went six and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out six. Evan Waterbor and Luke Sutko entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
