Men’s Basketball Earns Eight-Seed In NJCAA Tournament, Women Secure a Three-Seed

Men's Bracket | Women's Bracket

CHARLOTTE — Yesterday, the NJCAA unveiled the brackets for the 2024 NJCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, slated to be held in Hutchinson, Kan. (MBB) and Casper, WY (WBB).

Following their second-place finish in the FCSAA State/Region VIII Tournament, Raider Men's Basketball clinched the eighth spot and earned a first-round bye in this year's tournament. Their first game is scheduled for March 25, 2024, at 5:00 PM (CT), awaiting the winner of the Cowley (9th seed) and Allegany Maryland game (24th seed). If successful, their subsequent match will be on March 27 against the winner of Barton (1st seed), Daytona State (16th seed), or Walters (17th seed).

This marks the ninth consecutive season of NJCAA Tournament qualification for the Raiders, with two championship game appearances in their last two outings - one National Championship (2022) and one runner-up finish (2023).

The Lady Raiders secured a third seed in this year's tournament following their 63-59 victory over Gulf Coast in the FCSAA State/Region VIII Championship on Saturday. This is the sixth consecutive season the Raiders have made the NJCAA tournament, boasting National Championships in two of their last three appearances.

The Raiders' opening game is slated for March 27, 2024, at 5:30 PM (CT), awaiting the winner of Casper (14th seed) and Blinn (19th seed). Should they advance, they'll proceed to the quarterfinal round on March 29 at 7:45 PM (CT) against Shelton State (6th seed), Three Rivers (11th seed), or Mississippi Gulf Coast (22nd seed).
