Shannon Tucker Named New Cheerleading Coach

Shannon Tucker was named the new Cheerleading Coach for Northwest Florida State College this week. Tucker has also been the Destin High School coach since the school opened back in 2021.

Tucker brings 17 years of coaching experience to the Raiders cheer program, coaching a variety of teams, including National Champions cheerleaders from Bishop Moore Catholic High School.

"Shannon is a great addition to the Raider athletic department," Ramsey Ross said. "We are excited to welcome her into the Raider family and look forward to watching the cheer team this season!"

Tucker is the owner and head coach of Destination 850, a cheer and tumbling facility located in Niceville. She coaches the cheerleading teams at Destination 850, runs the preschool program, and coaches several tumbling and school team classes.

"I am excited for this opportunity to coach at Northwest Florida, and I am thrilled to become a part of the Raider family," Tucker said.

Tucker earned her bachelor's degree in Sports and Fitness, specializing in coaching and sports injuries, from the University of Central Florida, where she was a cheerleader there.

Tucker, a native of Johnson City, Tennessee, is married to her husband, Ryan, and they have one son, Holden.
