Northwest Florida plays host to the 2022 Women's FCSAA State/NJCAA Region VIII Basketball Championships

NICEVILLE, FL - The top-8 women's basketball programs in the FCSAA have been assembled and are ready to compete in the 2022 NJCAA Region VIII tournament to be held on the campus of Northwest Florida State College March 3-5.  Annually this event showcases some of the best talent the NJCAA has to offer, and this year's field will be no exception. Of the 8 teams in the field, 5 of them are ranked nationally in the top-25, providing one of the most compelling tournaments in recent memory.

Upon qualifying for the tournament, the field was seeded #1-#8 based on each team's regular season accomplishments.  The action will begin on Thursday, March 3 with four very intriguing and competitvie quarterfinals matchups:

• #2 Eastern Florida vs. #7 Daytona State - 1:00 pm
• #3 Gulf Coast vs. #6 Indian River - 3:00 pm
• #1 Northwest Florida vs. #8 Hillsborough - 6:00 pm
• #4 Florida SouthWestern vs. #5 Chipola - 8:00 pm
