Bio

Kim-Anh Brechtel enters her ninth year with Northwest Florida State College. Brechtel spent two years as an assistant coach for the Raider softball program and two years as an Admissions Navigator in Student Success.

Brechtel is a Niceville, Fla., native and a proud member of the community. She is a 1989 Niceville High School graduate with vast coaching and playing experiences. From 1989-1991, Brechtel attended Brevard Community College on a softball and volleyball scholarship. After BCC, she continued her education at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. Brechtel continued to compete at a high level playing on numerous competitive women’s teams. From 2002-2011 Brechtel coached travel ball with High Intensity fast pitch. From 2004-2007, Brechtel coached softball at Niceville High School under Danny Hensley. 

Brechtel is married to her high school sweetheart, Don Brechtel. She has two children, Aja, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where she was a member of the softball team and Donnie, a graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. where he was a member of the football team and now serves in the U.S. Army.
