Javier Chacon is entering his second year as the Athletic Communications Coordinator at Northwest Florida State College.

Originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Chacon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Marketing and Sports Marketing from New Mexico State University in 2022. During his undergraduate years, Chacon worked as a student intern with the NMSU Athletic Department, working will all 15 of their Olympic Sports, and Football. After completing his degree, Chacon took on a part-time role as a Digital Media Specialist, working with NMSU’s women’s soccer, track and field, and cross country programs. In 2023, he transitioned into a full-time position within the department, serving as an Assistant Director for Media Relations/Sports Information Director for women’s basketball, soccer, softball, track & field, and cross country.

Chacon joined the Raiders in October 2023, where he now oversees all Sports Information and Communication needs for the men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball programs.
