Javier Chacon embarks on his inaugural year at Northwest Florida State, following a year-long tenure as Assistant Director of Media Relations at his alma mater, New Mexico State University.

Hailing from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Chacon completed his high school education in 2018 before enrolling at NMSU, where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Marketing and Sports Marketing, ultimately graduating in 2022. Chacon's involvement in the world of athletics began during his undergraduate years at NMSU.

Immediately after completing his degree, Chacon transitioned into a full-time role within the NMSU athletic department, where he served as the Sports Information Director for their women's basketball, soccer, softball, track & field, as well as men's and women's cross country programs.
