No. 4 NWF Dismantles USC Salk

NICEVILLE, Fla. – No. 4 Northwest Florida women's basketball dominated from start to finish in an 81-17 victory over USC Salk to open the NWF Classic on Friday in Raider Arena. 

The Raiders (4-0) led by as many as 67 and allowed just five field goals in the game. USC Salk (3-2) shot 10.6 percent (5-47) for the game and turned the ball over 30 times leading to 43 NWF points.

Reneasha Payton scored a game-high 12 points, while Jasmine Quarterman, Chanaya Pinto and Rayven Peeples scored 10 points each.

Northwest Florida finished with 28 assists and 19 steals as a team and scored 42 points in the paint. The Raiders shot 53.1 percent (34-64) for the game, including converting 60 percent of their shots in the first and third quarters.

The Raiders wrap up play in the NWF Classic at 4 p.m. Saturday against Denmark Tech.

Tallahassee defeated Denmark Tech 67-56 in the first game of the classic.
