Softball Drops Two in Visit Dothan Invite

DOTHAN, Ala.  – Northwest Florida softball dropped its first games in the Visit Dothan Invitational Friday. The Raiders lost 9-3 to Florida SouthWestern and 11-1 to Wallace State.

Ashley Autuori drove in two runs and collected two hits, while Ariana Cipriano went 3-for-3 at the plate as the Raiders fell to Florida SouthWestern, 9-3.

All of Northwest Florida's offense came in the fifth inning courtesy of Autuori's third home run of the season, a two-run blast to left. Cipriano drove in the Raiders' first run on a triple that scored Gabrielle Fischetti.

Wallace State scored in all four innings that it batted in an 11-1 victory in the second game fo the day for Northwest Florida (4-3).

Autuori, Haley Maloz, and Sckylier Baronet all collected hits for the Raiders. 

Northwest Florida returns to action in the Visit Dothan Invite Sunday as it takes on Georgia Military at 9 a.m. and Chattanooga State at 11 a.m.
