Raiders Fall at Pensacola in Overtime

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Pensacola made a layup with seven seconds remaining to force overtime and eventually come away with a 65-60 win over Northwest Florida in Hartsell Arena Saturday.

The Raiders (12-8, 0-4 PC) shot 32.4 percent from the field and were slowed by 20 turnovers. Marseilles Caston led the team with 18 points on 8-of-18 shooting, while Seth Millner scored 14. Tutu Chisholm tied for the game lead with 12 rebounds.

Pensacola (14-7, 3-1) made just 5-of-24 three-pointers in the game but knocked down one at a key moment in overtime. The Pirates got 17 points from Shawndarius Cowart and 15 from Carlos Rosario.

Northwest Florida returns to Raider Arena Wednesday to face Chipola at 7:30 p.m.
